TouchDesigner Visual Experiment
Hand and body movements become changing contours and colors in real time. This personal interactive study connects camera input and visual output in TouchDesigner.

Challenge
The output had to show clearly how the image responds to the camera input.
My part
- Connected camera input as a live visual source
- Separated body and hand contours through edge extraction
- Combined contours and color remapping into three output variations
- Set the original camera feed beside the three color outputs for comparison
Camera input into contours and color

Camera feed as live input
I fed the camera directly into TouchDesigner so body and hand movements appeared in the output in real time.

Edges and color rebuilt
I extracted brightness and edge information, then rebuilt the contours and color through the node network.

One input, three color variations
I made blue, red, and green outputs with different color mapping and contrast to compare how the same movement reads in each.

Comparing the input and its response
I compared the output with the original camera feed, following how body and hand movements translate into changing contours and color.

Result
Completed a prototype connecting camera input, edge extraction, color remapping, and real-time output.
I reconstructed the camera input as blue, red, and green contour-based outputs. Each version shows the movement of the person and their hands through a different color treatment.
